Why Aren’t My Crystals Growing? – If you follow the included instructions, your crystals will grow. If your crystals don’t grow, here are a couple of possible reasons:

The powder did not completely dissolve – This could be because the water you used wasn’t hot enough (it must be boiling), the powder wasn’t stirred thoroughly enough, or the amount of water you used was incorrect (either too little or too much).

Drastic fluctuations in temperature – This could occur if the hedgehog is placed on a window sill, near a heating vent, or anywhere where the temperature might change throughout the day. If the solution cools too rapidly, it will form a large number of small crystals which will then sink to the bottom, making it look like the crystals are growing on the bottom of the container and not on the hedgehog. Make sure to place your hedgehog in a part of the room where it will stay at room temperature.
